Philosophy of Nature, Natural Science and Natural Law, Guest Presentation by Ryan Haecker
The UT Anscombe Society is proud to host the University of Texas Alumni Ryan Haecker for a presentation on the relation between Natural Science, the Philosophy of Nature and Natural Law on Wednesday, March 27th, at 4pm in the Jefferson Center Student Lounge WAG 401. Mr. Haecker will speak on the history of ideas of nature in their relation to ethics, outline the conflicting perspectives upon nature in philosophy and science, raise questions about how the ideas of the natural cosmos and the nature of our bodies inform our thinking about sexual ethics, morals, and practices. Then we will begin a group discussion on the themes and questions surrounding this important subject.
